Responding to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We find ourselves in unchartered territory as a nation as we flex to the changing situation in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Following Government announcements, we are pleased to confirm that Church services are able to take place. See our services pages for more details.

“Worship is the work of God – not a social gathering – and gives the strength to love and serve” (Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury)

As a church, we are active in worship and in the community!

If you would like pastoral or spiritual support during this challenging time, our helpline 01903 357043 continues to be manned from 8am-9pm daily. You can also email help@chanctonbury.org.uk for practical help, pray@chanctonbury.org.uk for prayer and pastor@chanctonbury.org.uk for any pastoral needs.  See below for more information.

Weddings, funerals and baptisms can go ahead, but with limited attendance of immediate family

Weddings, funerals and baptisms can go ahead, but with limited attendance of immediate family.  Click on the link below for more information

‘In accordance with Government requirements, numbers at Weddings must be limited to a maximum of 15 in attendance and Funerals must be limited to a maximum of 30 people in attendance.

We love to offer baptism within our services to welcome candidates fully into the family of God.  However, because of constraints on numbers at this time, in order to ensure our services are Covid-secure, and to comply with social distancing guidelines, we are unable to do this.  We are able to offer baptisms at a private service with no more than 6 people in attendance.

If you would like to speak to us about a wedding, funeral or baptism, please contact our Church office.  Tel: 01903 893648 or email office@chanctonbury.org.uk

As a church we are praying for all in our community to be free from all fear and anxiety:

“Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer, and with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus”

Philippians 4:6-7
