Governance

Chanctonbury church is part of the Church of England and falls within the Diocese of Chichester. The Diocese is overseen by the Bishop of Chichester, who provides spiritual leadership and support to churches in the area.

At a local level, our church is led by Revd James Di Castiglione, supported by a team of Associate Vicars, lay people and volunteers.

Church Wardens John Yeo and Anthony Ray serve as officers of the bishop, assisting th Rector with the day-to-day functioning of the church.

The Parochial Church Council (PCC), a group of elected members from the congregation, oversees the church’s mission, witness, and service within the parish. The PCC is responsible for the overall governance and management of the church’s activities.

Chanctonbury has a charitable status. Annual accounts are submitted, which are re published for the APCM (Annual Parochial Church Meeting)

Together, we support Chanctonbury’s mission of Glorifying God, Becoming like Jesus and Awakening the Nations.
