Join a team

There are many ways to serve at Chanctonbury

If you consider Chanctonbury as your home church, we ask you to join a team to serve once a month. Getting involved with one of our teams is a great way of getting to know others more – email the relevant team leader below to find out more and join a rota.

Kids Church

We set the highest value in our children’s and youth ministries. To explore being part of the team, it is essential to love Jesus and be seeking His Kingdom, to be a good team player, and have an up to date enhanced DBS check and to adhere to our safeguarding policy.

Chanctonbury Youth

Our heart for serving on the youth team is to get alongside our young people on their level and help them to experience the fullness of God’s kingdom so they can be fully equipped to be the church of today and tomorrow, to change the world. We have found that serving and investing into our young people is a huge honour but also a mutually encouraging experience for our leaders. Practically, this could be serving on a Sunday morning in our youth sessions that run during morning church services, supporting our youth as they grow in their worship gifting or helping to lead one of our youth nights, Set the Fire services or social events!

Hosting Team

Hosting Teams are a great way to start participating in church life, make new friends and have fun welcoming people to church!

The hosting team prepares for the running of services, both practically and spiritually. They are the first point of contact, a welcoming face as you enter church and someone who can point newcomers in the right direction. All you need to qualify is a smile!

Prayer Ministry

Prayer ministry plays an important part in each service as we seek to seal what the Spirit of God is doing in people’s lives. To be part of the Prayer Ministry team you’ll need to come along to a training session to equip us in praying for others. We run these courses from time to time.

If you are part of Chanctonbury there are two things we would ask: that you are part of a ‘Kingdom Family Community (KFC)’ and that you ask your KFC leader/s to recommend you for this ministry. You will also need to do the training which we aim to run each term. We look forward to having you join in.

Seniors’ Café

Our vision is for those who are alone to become part of the community, and for them to see a flourishing church community they want to be a part of! Are you free on a Thursday morning to share a cuppa, cake and chat at the Cafe? Could you help transport them or visit them in their home? If you feel that aligns with your heart, please do get in touch. The aim of the team is to support, promote and develop social contact for older people.
