Who is Jesus

Jesus is the reason for our faith.

He is the person we follow as Christians.

Jesus is one of three persons who make up the Trinity.

As Christians we believe the only way to God is through Jesus;

John 14:6 – I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus is God’s only son, whom He sent into the world to restore humanity to its proper relationship with God. Jesus’ life, death and resurrection opened the way to eternal life for those who believe in him. He died on the cross in our place as a payment for our sins. Jesus is both king and servant, lord and friend, God and human.

When we give our lives to him, we are reborn and adopted into God’s family as co-heirs of his kingdom. As we get to know Jesus by spending time with him, our relationship with him deepens, just like when we spend time with a friend.

We look to the four gospel accounts in the bible (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John), which reveal Jesus. (Philippians 2:5-11; John 3:16; Isaiah 9:2, 6-7; John 14:6; John 1:1-14)

Who is Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, fully God alongside the Father and the Son. He is our helper, our advocate, and our counsellor, sent to us after Jesus ascended to heaven. The Holy Spirit is a powerful presence, a divine energy, who indwells every believer, guiding us, comforting us, and empowering us for ministry. He is the one who heals when we pray, enables us to understand scripture, to pray effectively, and to live a life that honours God.

The Holy Spirit also gives spiritual gifts to believers to encourage and build the Church.
