The Ash Wednesday service, with Holy Communion, will take place on Wednesday 6 March at 11am at Washington Church. The Lent course will start that evening and includes a series of six Wednesday evenings looking at “Knowing the Father”.

The church office is closed next week 18 – 22 February as it is half term week. Church Lane Cafe at Ashington and Shining Stars at Ashington will not run during half term. Shining Stars resumes on Monday 25 February. The next Community Cafe will be Wednesday 27 February at Washington Village Hall. 

On Sunday 3 February at our Joint Confirmation Service, we took up a financial offering for the Bishop’s Discretionary Fund and collected a total of £655.09. 

Peter & Gill Lewis will  be visiting Ashington mission partner, Shilpa, in and around Nashik in India form 19 February until 6 March. They hope to bless and encourage Shilpa and give her a holiday. Sarah Scott has an area in her garden that has two large raised beds, two smaller planting areas and a greenhouse available for use. Sarah does not have time to use it for the next few years and wondered whether anyone would like to utilise the space. Please contact: mrssjscott75@gmail.com

Our services this Sunday are 9am Holy Communion at Ashington // 10am Family Service at Washington // 11am Tribal Gathering at Ashington Community Centre. 

We are having a Teaching Seminar on ‘Manifestations of the Spirit’: What? Why? From where? How? Thursday 7 February 8.00pm at Ashington Village Club, Mill Lane RH20 3BX. 

Fresh fruit salads, pastries, yoghurt & bacon baps will be served after the 9am service on Sunday 10 February.  If you would like to contribute or bring something, please speak to Kathy Wright: kathrynwright54@hotmail.com. All are welcome for this time of fellowship. Tribal Gathering will take place in the Community Centre.

Little Lambs is on tomorrow Friday 8 February at Washington Church 10.00 – 11.30am. There will be songs, stories, craft, healthy snacks, as well as tea, coffee and biscuits. All are welcome.

Chanctonbury Healing Centre is open this Saturday 9 February 10 – 11.00am at Ashington Church. There will be a team of people available to pray for you and act as a ‘conduit’ for God releasing ‘heaven on earth’ in the form of healing peoples lives. All are welcome!

Sunday 17 February is Movie Sunday! Please drop kids off at Ashington School before church. Children can wear onesies/PJs if they would like to! Please note Creche is not on. On Sunday 24 February there will be no Children’s Church or Creche at the 11 service but the service will be family friendly.
