Are you on the Electoral Roll?

In order to be on the Electoral Roll, each person has to be approved by the respective PCC’s.

The next  PCC meeting at Ashington is on Monday 20th November, Washington on 29 November and Wiston on 6 December

More than just the right to vote, being on the Electoral Roll is a ‘working register’ of church membership.  It is a record of everyone who regularly worships at one of our churches and indicates your commitment to being part of the Christian community locally.

Also, by enrolling, you become a voting member of the Church of England and so help to ensure that all the councils of the Church – the Parochial Church Council, the Deanery Synod, the Diocesan Synod (representing the Anglican churches across a wider area, all under the one Bishop) and the General Synod (for all Anglican churches in England) fully represent its members.

If you would like to vote at church meetings, such as the annual meeting (APCM) you need to be on the Electoral Roll of your church.
