At the end of July three of our long-serving Cafe team leaders will be stepping down. Mary Tute, Janette Barrett and Janet King have faithfully and lovingly carried out this ministry for a number of years, and we are grateful for all their hard work and commitment to this important ministry of our church.
They will be very much missed, but it gives the opportunity for others within our church to serve God in this way. The Café is a great expression of our service to the local community, both in the provision of an enjoyable café experience for the more elderly as well as school children and their parents, and also in the provision of grants to local organisations from the café surplus.
We are looking for people who are willing to serve for one Tuesday afternoon a month (term time only). We currently have provision to be able to continue offering the Café twice a month from September, but would really like to be able to continue on a weekly basis, so please do consider this prayerfully.
