First Aid Overseer for Chanctonbury Churches


We are delighted to announce that John Stewart has very kindly agreed to be the First Aid Overseer for the Benefice, including our larger events, and is now responsible for ensuring that our First Aid boxes are re-stocked and up to date. He has considerable experience in this field: John joined the ambulance service in 1973, he qualified as paramedic in 1974 and trained as British Red Cross first aid instructor in 1985. He became a Royal Yachting Association first aid trainer in 1997 (still active) and became radio manager with Sussex Ambulance and then South East Coast Ambulance in 2001 (he retired from the ambulance service in 2009). John became a member of Steyning Area First Responders 2016 and was Medical team leader for Stoneleigh Bible Weeks in 1992, 1993, 1995 and served on Medical team at New Wine Summer Conferences for 8 years.
